Funding News:
The National Lottery Heritage Fund has announced plans to invest £3.6 billion in heritage projects over the next decade. The funding will be used to save heritage, protect the environment, increase inclusion and participation, and improve the sustainability of heritage organisations. The strategy was introduced in response to the growing need to protect and preserve the UK's heritage.
The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust has launched the Armed Forces Families Fund: Research Grants programme. This programme will award grants of up to £60,000 for projects delivered over 18 months that support research into the complex challenges facing Armed Forces families, particularly in relation to educational attainment for Service pupils, child welfare and the welfare needs of Service families. The National Lottery Community Fund has announced the launch of the UK Fund, a new grant scheme that will provide funding for organisations that want to help communities come together and make the UK a better-connected society. Grants of £500,000 to £5 million are available, and projects can run for up to 10 years. Projects must demonstrate that they have the potential to benefit communities across the UK, scale their impact, and focus on equity.
The Culture of Solidarity Fund is now launching another special call looking to promote Ukrainian culture across Europe. The call is open to organisations based in the UK and grants of up to 15,000 euros are available. Deadline: 1pm, 5th September 2023 CEST.
The latest programme of funding from Lloyd’s Bank Foundation England and Wales will support local collaborations led by small charities with an aim of influencing change at the local or regional level around issues related to the social security system, accommodation for people with complex issues and improving support for asylum seekers in England. The fund offers grants of £100,000 over two years, with the opportunity to extend this by an extra year and an additional £50,000. Deadline: 5pm, 22nd September 2023.
Tesco is introducing a £5 million grant programme to give children across the UK a stronger start in life. The grants of up to £1,500 will help children’s organisations and projects provide nutritious food and healthy activities that support young people’s physical health and mental well-being.
Hubbub and Virgin Media O2 have announced a new £500,000 Time After Time Fund to support innovative solutions that address the digital divide and reduce electronic waste. This grant fund aims to connect the 1.5 million digitally disconnected households in the UK, who have limited access to devices or the internet while promoting circularity in technology. The fund will provide grants of between £25,000 and £100,000. Deadline: 20th October 2023.
HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has announced £5.5 million in grant funding for voluntary and community sector organisations to help them provide free, independent, multi-channel support to people who need extra help understanding and complying with their tax obligations and claiming their entitlements. Deadline: 11.59pm, 21st August 2023.
JoJo Maman Bebe's grant programme Helping Hands Community Grants is now accepting applications from registered charities and not-for-profit organisations that are making a difference in their local communities, with a focus on environmental awareness, supporting pregnant women and young children, and benefitting a diverse range of people. Organisations can apply for grants up to £10,000. Deadline: 15th August 2023.
