VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT FOR OUR MEMBERS
|
If you’re looking for volunteers in Arun and Chichester, we can help you with recruitment by advertising on our website, in the local papers, on social media, on our App and in our volunteer enewsletter. To upload your roles, please visit our Volunteer Now page Are you looking for volunteers in Arun or Chichester? (vaac.org.uk) As a reminder, if we are currently advertising roles for you, please keep an eye on our referrals coming through to your email address and respond to the volunteers as soon as you can (we suggest by phone in the first instance as emails sometimes end up in junk mail). We understand that sometimes when we have sent referrals through and you have contacted them, the volunteers fail to respond to your contact. This can be a frustrating process but we really would like to encourage you to still initially respond to referrals ASAP (as above, we would always suggest giving them a call first) so that we’re all doing all we can to encourage volunteers. If you are no longer looking for volunteers, or if you are struggling to find the time to respond to volunteers, please do let us know and we can pause recruitment for now to save the volunteers’ disappointment if you are unable to get back to them, as this can often put them off volunteering altogether or demotivate them in their search. If you require any advice on volunteer recruitment, please contact our Volunteering Advisor, Tracy, on [email protected]

We now have a dedicated page on our website where we will be compiling all the information, resources and guidance that comes out in relation to the Cost of Living Crisis, and the impact on Voluntary Sector organisations. We will endeavour to share important updates through this e-bulletin as well, but please do keep an eye on the webpage to ensure you keep up to date with any changes or news.
British Land have commissioned the Centre for Charity Effectiveness at Bayes Business School to produce a series of factsheets to help their partners access the support they need, particularly as inflation increases the cost of energy, rent, supplies and wages. These factsheets will provide a range of information and links to resources covering topics from planning and operations to strategy and governance, and economic resilience during a time of crisis. They will aim to update and reissue this resource on a monthly basis for a further three months.
