Access to Employee Assistance Programme, Health Assured
|
We know how much your staff and volunteers do for their communities and that the pandemic and all the associated challenges have taken their toll on many people’s health and wellbeing. We are delighted, therefore, to have been funded by Sussex Health and Care Partnership (SHCP) to trial a way of offering support to VCSE staff and volunteers across Arun and Chichester. VAAC is able to offer access to an Employee Assistance Programme, Health Assured, to 3500 voluntary and community sector staff and volunteers across Sussex. In West Sussex this support will be available to 1166 people.

We have been receiving enquiries about how people/organisations can support the people of Ukraine. We only want to signpost people to organisations that we know can make a difference; who have the infrastructure, experience, know-how and connections on the ground. The Disaster Emergency Committee is an overarching organisation that co-ordinates charities in this way and they have now launched their Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
Donations to the appeal go to their member charities and their local partners responding in Ukraine and in neighbouring countries. DEC charities are experts in humanitarian relief with decades of responding to crises around the world – from earthquakes to floods as well as conflicts.
You can donate to the DEC appeal here.
