Some words from our outgoing CEO, Hilda Sherwood
|
"Four and a half years have flown by since I joined VAAC in October 2017, three of those in the position of Chief Executive. It is now time for me to change direction and seek a different rhythm of life – some call it ‘retirement’.
I am very grateful for being part of a sector that is full of passion, commitment and drive and for partners that desire to work collaboratively for the common good of all.
I am especially thankful for the team at VAAC, for their support, flexibility, friendship and humour!
I wish you all the very best for the future."
Hilda
|
From all the staff and Trustees at VAAC, we'd like to say a massive thank you to Hilda. You've been a brilliant Chief Executive and have led us through some challenging times with dedication, wisdom and compassion.
We wish you all the best in your future adventures. We'll miss you!
|
And hello from our new CEO, Jackie Sumner
|
"Joining VAAC as their Chief Executive is a privilege as I know that the VCSE sector in Arun and Chichester is full of individuals who are committed to improving lives of local individuals, families and communities.
I am looking forward to working together so we can deliver sustained, meaningful and impactful change. This is now a higher priority given the negative consequences of the pandemic. The VCSE voice, our joint work and the partnerships we continue to build with the public and business sectors is key to effectively responding to these needs."

Brilliant opportunity to raise the profile of your organisation
|
If you’re a Chichester-based charity or community group then a brand new magazine is offering you an opportunity to raise your profile in the local area.
Chichester Life magazine is seeking to champion the best of West Sussex, and in a special Community-focused edition in May, they have asked VAAC to work with them to profile some of our amazing member organisations and the wonderful community action that takes place in Chichester (printed version dependent on funding, otherwise digital edition).
The promotion offered will range from a simple directory listing, to a business card sized advert or an A5/half page article. There may also be opportunities to be featured on the Chichester Life website and/or Facebook pages, and there is support available from Journalists and Creative Designers to help to create the content.
If you would like to take up this incredible offer to have your organisation featured in the magazine, please email Jenny to register your interest by Monday 4th April.
We’re really excited to be working with Chichester Life to create a wonderful celebration of our local charities and community groups, so we hope that you will take up this exciting offer.
(Please note, inclusion and amount of coverage given to organisations remains at the discretion of Chichester Life magazine.)
