Funding News:
Cash for Kids is looking for grassroots community sports groups from across the South to take part in their unique fundraising competition. The challenge is aimed at supporting children and young people who find it difficult to get into sports, either through disadvantage or disability, so entries will be judged on how the group can make a difference to children in their community. Groups will have from 16th September to 16th October to fundraise as much as possible. Deadline: midnight, 11th September 2023.
Community organisations can now apply for grants of £500 to £5,000 per new project from the Community Play Fund, which was introduced by ChangeX and the LEGO Foundation to support the development of playful experiences for children in communities across the UK.
The Leathersellers Company is seeking applications from small charities that are providing vital services for vulnerable people in deprived communities across the UK. The Small Grants Programme will award grants of up to £5,000 to organisations with an annual income of less than £200,000.
In partnership with the National Autistic Society, Thea and Peter Boshier have established a new grant scheme, The Boshier Grant Scheme. Grants of up to £25,000 will be awarded to registered charities throughout the UK, that share the National Autistic Society’s vision to create a society that works for autistic people. The Community Justice Fund’s new £30 million, five-year Improving Lives Through Advice funding programmes are for registered charities that provide access to specialist welfare legal advice to the most marginalised communities in England, including people with disabilities, women fleeing abuse and families facing eviction. Core costs grants of between £50,000 and £100,000 per annum will be given to organisations. Deadline: 4pm, 15th September 2023.
The Hyde Charitable Trust has launched a new open-access Evolve Fund grants programme. The Fund offers grants of up to £15,000 to organisations operating locally for the provision of services and activities that will respond to challenges and opportunities in selected Hyde’s communities. They offer restricted funding and are keen to support your organisation’s delivery costs and a proportionate share of your organisation’s core costs. Organisations need to be working in the following areas: Chichester District (Tangmere, Whyke), Midhurst, and Selsey. Deadline: 5pm, 28th August 2023 for Round 1 (may close early).
Active Sussex’s Children and Young People Fund is now open for pre-application. They are looking for partners with project ideas that meet the targeted needs of tackling inequalities of high quality and appropriate activity provision to C&YP in Sussex.
